We want to get a New KC herp society going to start meeting a few time a month, but only if we can get enough people to make it worth while, so if you are interested show your support by contacting Chris Leatherman or David Jay Vandewater on Facebook. The purpose of these meetings will be "To educate the general public about these frequently misunderstood animals, promote conservation of all wildlife, especially reptiles and amphibians, and to encourage cooperation between amateur and professional herpetologists toward a broader and deeper knowledge of this fascinating field.
